National Pre-Registration Day

I’m Brenna Cully, VoteAmerica’s Director of Communities. I wanted to share some good news with you today: It’s National Pre-Registration Day, and VoteAmerica is in the middle of it!

We built FutureVoter.com to walk teens through the pre-registration process step by step, and today our partners are pushing it out across their networks.

Here’s why this matters: pre-registration increases turnout among the youngest voters by 6-13 percentage points. There are 16.4 million high school students who will be eligible to vote by 2028, and right now, only about 12% of them are pre-registered. Most don’t even know it’s an option!
