Here's the recording from our briefing this month

Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday’s briefing, and to everyone who requested the recording. If you missed the briefing, you’re in luck: we recorded it and uploaded it to YouTube.

I began by dispelling some persistent voting myths. These are talking points promoted primarily by progressive orgs, based on bad data that we all need to stop relying on:

1. Young voters are moving to the right. They are not.
2. Voter registration is the most effective way to increase turnout. This is demonstrably false. 86.4% of Americans are already registered to vote. If every registered voter cast a ballot, we would have the highest turnout in the world.
3. 90% of registered voters cast ballots in presidential elections. Again, false. It’s closer to 75%.

I then pivoted into an overview of our 2026 programs:

1. Our college media program, that produces a reliable 2-8 point boost in turnout.
2. Our permanent absentee voting campaign, which has the potential to produce a 10-13 point boost in turnout.
3. Our strategic investment in ensuring that other values-aligned organizations and candidates use our voter mobilization software. We built this for ourselves, and now we license it to other entities for the very reasonable price of $0 per month.
4. Our FutureVoter.com campaign, which exists at the intersection of adorable and effective, and targets the 16 million citizens who are currently in high school. 100% of them can register to vote before they turn 18. Almost no one knows this, which is a real shame, since turnout among young people who preregister to vote is 13 points higher than turnout among people who register to vote at 18+.

The entire presentation is solid, but if you’re mostly focused on the November elections, you should jump to minute 15:00 to learn more about college media and why it’s an excellent investment this year.

The election is soon. Very, very soon. It’s time for us to channel our rage into action. Voting won’t fix everything, but not voting will make everything worse.
